Being an organization created by Jungians for Jungians, it offers a collaborative environment for those dedicated to personal and professional progress within the framework of Jungian concepts.

It is jointly founded, directed, and managed by senior Jungian analysts of the C. G. Jung Institute Zurich, John O’Brien and Nada O’Brien together with INSEAD Masters in Change consultant Benjamin Grosser. Each member is professionally qualified, trained, and experienced in in-depth psychology, business transformation, and education.

Based on a thirty-year track of pioneering board and C-suite coaching and consulting to the blue-chip organisations around the globe, the founders established the scientific foundations for Jungian coaching and consulting in seminal publications such as The professional practice of Jungian Coaching: Corporate Analytical Psychology (Routledge, London and New York. 2022).
The IAJCC offers globally accredited training courses provided by its member organisations, including a 12-month qualifying course designed for established senior professionals, leading to the award of the Diploma in Jungian Coaching and Consulting.
- Membership of an elite international community of expert professional leaders in applied Jungian thought and practice.
- Access to worldwide Jungian research.
- An exclusive worldwide network of fellow trusted advisers.
Based on extensive professional clinical practice and research with individuals, groups, and major organisations since the late 1980s, and inspired by the work of Carl Gustav Jung, the IAJCC was formed in 2024 to support, develop, and empower professional change agents in chosen vocational practices and organisational roles.
In 2024, 75 years after the publication of Jung’s Modern Man in Search of a Soul, we find ourselves still on the same quest, but with a new, scientifically informed awareness of those common, unifying dimensions of individual, group, and organisational life signposted by our pioneering institutions.
The IAJCC empowers coaches, consultants, and leaders to develop practices and consult to organisations with a shared commitment to helping individuals bring unique gifts and potential to full human expression in private life and organisational leadership.
In support of this mission, the IAJCC provides access to a range of diverse short courses and events and a range of membership benefits, including access to the Flagship Diploma course offered by C G Jung Centre. IAJCC does not provide training directly, so as to fully represent the interests of all its members.
Our home
The IAJCC is founded on the work of Carl Gustav Jung which informed transformational work with individuals, groups, and world organisations since the 1980s. Formed in London in 2024, with a presence in Frankfurt, Stockholm Singapore and Tokyo, our shared home is Zürich, the home of C.G. Jung.
IAJCC spans the globe, and its members are among the world’s leading medical practitioners, psychotherapists, and organisational change experts involved in research and practice. The combined and common experience is the lifeblood of the IAJCC, which continually adapts and contributes to the field of human transformation.
We are grateful to the many individuals and institutions that have inspired us and who have been our companions on the journey towards the foundation of the IAJCC over a period of some 60 years.
Our History
John O’Brien first published on depth psychology in change management after the completion of a successful corporate transformation programme involving 60,000 people at London’s NatWest Retail Bank in the early 1990s. The approach drew upon comprehensive family therapy and a deep understanding of the dynamic relationship between the conscious and the unconscious. Bridging the worlds of psychoanalysis and corporate strategy, new words emerged and old words took on new meaning.
Coaching, leadership, counselling, management, therapy, analysis, unconscious, success, learning, performance, teams, community, excellence, joy, meaning, work, love, connection, service, first choice, realisation, insight, humility, transformation, celebration.
As the Zeitgeist changed over the next thirty years, the distinct field of Jungian coaching emerged, culminating in the first presentation at the C. G. Jung Institute in Zürich in 2011. Meanwhile, coaching was developing as a profession at the Institute of Coaching at Maclean Hospital (Harvard), and parallel corporate leadership applications were being taught and developed at INSEAD in Europe and Singapore.
The scientific foundations for Jungian coaching were eventually established by O’Brien and O’Brien in their Routledge book in 2021. By this time, interest in Jungian coaching began to proliferate, and C G Jung Centre was providing expert courses internationally.
As a result of continuous research and demand from INSEAD graduates and experienced analysts, the IAJCC was formed as an association of professional members.
